Start safely with JSON-LD
Structured data describes content using a shared vocabulary. JSON-LD is a common format in a script element. Valid JSON syntax is only the first step: a recognized Product or Article type does not prove that its properties are correct or that the page qualifies for an enhanced search appearance.
What to do
- Choose a type that reflects visible content. Do not add reviews, prices or business information that the page cannot support.
- Use valid JSON with double quotes and no trailing commas. Several blocks can be valid; inspect each independently.
- Then check relevant properties and Google requirements with official tools. Our check recognizes types and syntax, not complete schema.org semantics.
Example
<script type="application/ld+json">
{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"WebSite","name":"Example","url":"https://example.com/"}
</script>Check for yourself
- Is every JSON block syntactically valid?
- Do types and properties reflect visible content?
- Is private data excluded?
