How analysis works
A data source creates a limited PageSnapshot. The shared engine assesses only fields actually available. Different data sources can therefore produce different results without using different SEO rules.
Choose the right source
Use the extension for the current DOM after clicking. Use this tool for a file or pasted HTML. The URL is only a reference for relative links and canonical; the tool never visits it.
Understand the audit score
Weights are our own. Pass/info earns full weight, warning half and error zero. Unchecked/inapplicable rules are excluded. Robots, social tags, content length and loading hints do not deduct. No assessable weight means no score.
Limits instead of false approval
Use at most 2 MB of HTML. Collections are capped at 2,000 elements, fields at 1,000 characters and JSON-LD has additional resource limits. Truncated groups are not approved. Long-running processing is stopped with an explanation.
Remote URL analysis is a later feature
Server fetching needs separate SSRF protection, quota/abuse controls and clear disclosure of URL transfer. No Worker exists in this version. Even future HTML fetching cannot prove JavaScript-rendered content, logged-in content or Core Web Vitals.
